Amazing to think that as we go through life, we have thousands of pictures taken of us even more now with selfies etcetera. As a photographer I am normally more comfortable behind the camera so when it came too choosing an appropriate picture on my about page I finally settled with a compilation.

Phix-Pix is owned by Arthur Smith-Weston, who believes that as we go through life we create memories through photography, film, video or even the long lost toy, sound, picture that takes us back to a magical moment of youth that helps retain a memory, giving a happy nostalgic euphoria to share with the youth of today who can also take it as their present for the future. Phix-Pix photo and graphic solutions is primarily a Photo Image restoration business trading for over 20 years has restored thousands of images which have been given as presents that in themselves will last a lifetime and for the next generation. Turning gift from then into WOW!

Phix-Pix statement has always been “Making your memories a present”. We have never disappointed. In order to professionally restore old photographs, Cine Film, slides we have focused on photographic practices from the past.

When studying an Internet web design course, in 2001 I was introduced to the techniques of Photoshop, As  a qualified artist I was drawn to Photoshop as a medium that I could use to express my art, so going forward to apply my skills to photography at A level and receiving an “A” I was accepted to the Royal Photographic Society as a Licentiate member.

I have a passion for all forms of photography from William Fox Talbot’s invention of the negative right through to digital enhancements of the photographic image using both dark room and digital methods and a variety of Photographic and video production programmes.

Restoring images for over 20 years, I am also known for, High Dynamic Range images, Chroma-key, 360 photography, Portrait photography, Pet photography and digital image manipulation.

Having studied the subject of “Innovation and design in the twenty first century” (Open University U101) I have experience of several techniques of photo and graphic mediums and techniques.
